28+29 November - Spiral Pathways
A two-day Contact Improvisation intensive
Saturday & Sunday, 13:00–16:00

In this workshop we’ll focus on how spiraling motion can enhance our dance and lead to exciting options when dancing with a partner.
We’ll tune into the spiralling possibilities of our limbs and spine, discovering how movement can travel through the body from one end to the other.
We’ll go through patterns for spiralling in contact with a partner, and explore how we can find fluid pathways for lifts and shared movement.

The movement research will have elements from contemporary techniques like Flying Low, Release Technique and Floorwork. Over 2 afternoons we’ll make time to really go in depth, experiment and get familiar with the material.

Level: Open to experienced dancers and movers with some previous Contact Improvisation experience. You don't need to be advanced, but this should not be your very first CI class.

If you're a complete beginner, you're welcome to join CI Basics on 22 November or attend a regular class beforehand.
