Upcoming Workshop
22 November 13:00–16:00
Contact Improvisation Basics

Curious about Contact Improvisation, or want to reconnect with the basics?

In this workshop, we'll dive into some fundamental principles of Contact Improvisation through playful exercises and movement research.

We'll explore:

  • Sliding, rolling, and shifting between tension and relaxation.

  • Dance as a dialogue: leading, following, and in between the two.

  • Softening into touch and finding stability while leaning.

  • Moving together while sharing weight — playing with gravity, body structures and tonus.

Through solo explorations and partnering exercises, we'll develop our physical listening,
trust, and curiosity in dancing with others.

This workshop is open to complete beginners as well as experienced dancers who wish to
refine their technique.
